Owen's House
About Owen Thomson:
Owen is a computer programmer based in Brighton, England (UK).
Owen wrote his first "Hello World" on a BBC Micro Computer back in 1987 when he was about seven years
old and he has been hooked ever since.
In 1998 Owen passed his A-Level in Computing and moved on to take an HND in
Software Engineering. On the turn of the Century Owen completed his HND and moved on to do a
degree in Computing (including a year in industry with the Seeboard Energy Internet Team - EDF).
Owen now develops internet applications and websites in .NET(C#) and php and creates relational
databases using MySQL(innodb) and MSSQL Server 2000 / 2005.
Enough Geeking About
Well that's quite enough uninteresting geeky spiel for now.
The fun me likes to play golf, go skateboarding (ah those were the days), play the piano, and fly power kites
(or more appropriately be flown by power kites). I'm trying to get as much fun video content on this site as
possible because it's less boring than text but these things take time, money and a friend with a neat camera.
Feel free to have a browse and download the videos and pictures for your own personal enjoyment.
Quick note about that last statement: Please don't use my pictures or videos in any commercial websites
or other commercial works without my permission. Don't copy me when I do something crazy either... I've been
flying power kites since 1994 so I know what I'm doing!
By the way, if you want a good office suite similar to MS Office try Open Office... It's free!
